» Filed Under: Thinking Out Loud
This is my first entry since I've turned 32. Yeah... 32. (32. 32. 32. THIRTY TWO.) Anyway, let me share with you a quote I found... Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, You know the saying, "think out of the box"? We set limitations for ourselves, our lives, and the world we live in... because we believe that we're being practical or realistic by doing so. We feel safe packing ourselves away in a box. You've daydreamed, haven't you? There are no boundaries - no limits. Anything is possible. You know why? Because when you dream, you open your mind to all the possibilities. You're thinking out of the box. Now, tell me why you keep those images only in your dreams? Are you afraid of failure? Or maybe having your family and friends laugh at you? Let me put this into perspective... you only have this *one* chance to live your life. Why not live it to the fullest it can possibly be? As you take your last breath, would happily accept your fear of failure or what others thought of you, as reasons why you didn't follow your dreams? Would you want to look back to a list of "coulda's", "shoulda's" and "woulda's"? I've been told too many times, "be realistic... set realistic goals." But, how can anyone say that to another person? Only *I* can decide if my goals are realistic, and that's also determined by the limitations I put on myself. But, there's absolutely no reason why someone else's limits should stop me.. or you. Think about this... if you set a goal to make a million dollars by this time next year, prepare a detailed plan, then begin immediately to put it into action, doing everything you possible can to make this a reality... even if you *didn't* make a million dollars by your goal date, don't you think you'd make a heck of a lot more than someone who promised to try and earn as much money as they can by this time next year? Just start moving forward... because every step you take leads you closer to making your dreams a reality. Excellence can be achieved if you risk more than
