Inserting AdSense After First MT Blog Entry

» Filed Under: AdSense/Paid-Per-Click

A-ha! I've visited a few blogs with AdSense appearing after the first post only, and have been meaning to find out how this was done! Thanks to Jason of GoldBlogger.com, I now join the ranks of the way cool AdSense-After-My-First-Post bloggers!

All I had to do was add a small code to my Movable Type "Main Index" template... didn't even have to install a plugin! Just insert your Google AdSense code between the <MTEntriesHeader> container tag within the <MTEntries> container.

<MTEntriesHeader>
A container tag: the contents of this container will be displayed only if this entry is the first entry listed in the container.

Kinda like this:

<MTEntries>
   <MTEntriesHeader>
      Insert AdSense Code
   </MTEntriesHeader>
</MTEntries>

See it in 'action' on my blog index page : )

Thanks Carmen!

I was wondering about that too. I tried figuring it out on my own, but it kept appearing after every single post. I could've limited the number of posts on my main page to 3 to stay within the Google guidelines. This is better!
