Are your page header, footer, and navigation menus bringing up irrelevant AdSense ads? Give their "section targeting" a try...
Sounds simple enough... just ad the following HTML tags around the content of your page that you want to emphasize for ad targeting: <!-- google_ad_section_start --> <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
<!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
