Does it Feel Like a New Year to You?

I hope you enjoyed your winter holidays!!

I, for one, had a BLAST with my family in Vegas!! It was so wonderful... my parents, brothers, sister, and cousins were all there to celebrate New Years together! The people were at 24/7 party-mode, beautiful lights and buildings everywhere you look, and the weather was just right!

Well, now that I'm back in ZERO DEGREE weather, reality is quickly setting back in.

I download my e-mail and noticed a change... did you notice several marketers changing their approach?

The 'language' and tone they use to speak to their ezine and newsletter readers seem to have become more... personal? More friendly?

I see more and more marketers turn from their usual business style writing to a more casual one.

I like it!!

Reading them gives me a feeling of listening to a friend speaking, as opposed to a money-hungry guru trying to push their (and their friends') products on me.

That's not to say I'm about to buy everything they 'recommend,' but, at least I'll enjoy reading what they have to say now, instead of thinking, "What's s/he trying to sell me now?!"
