The Decline of Ryze
Dear Ryzer,
Remember when you were greeted with notices of guestbook entries and friends requests every time you checked your e-mail? Noticed the lack of action lately? Don’t take it personally, it’s not you.
Here are two major changes implemented by Ryze:
- Guestbooks are now only viewable to those in your friends list by default… visitors not already in your friends list can’t see your guestbook. To change it, go into your preferences/Guestbook and select “open to all.”
- You can only send a friend request if you know the person’s e-mail address. If you’d like to add me as a friend, use ryzin (at) marketingchick (dot) com.

Ryze is a networking service to help you grow your business. You’ll meet entrepreneurs, CEOs and other people through me, my personal contacts, your own contacts, their contacts, and so on… it’s huge!

I miss all those emails from Ryze!

So do I, Stefani! Ryze used to be such a great place to meet new people… maybe they need to consult with a few good marketers to help them out

Things have been a little more difficult around there, haven’t they? I haven’t been there in quite some time because I had been ‘banned’ for supposed spamming. It was my birthday and I had recieved a lot of bday wishes. I tried to reply to everyone thanking them and I was accused of spam. I had to ‘plea my case’ with them. Since then I just haven’t had the time…
Hi Anita : )
Yeah, it’s not fun anymore… I can’t believe you were banned for sending thank you notes! I thought it was supposed to be a networking site. I guess they had something else in mind. Oh well.

I was a little cheesed that they changed my preferences without asking me…a lot of people haven’t gone in and changed their guestbook settings, maybe they just don’t realize!
Ryze has been profitable for me, I’ve met some cool people, joined really great networks where I learn good stuff, and even got a business partner out of it.
