How much are your products and services *really* worth?
I’ve noticed from evaluating my IMSN members’ questionnaires, that the majority of people, no matter what they’re selling, view themselves only as someone who “sells” products and services.
Answer these:
- How do your products and services impact your customers’ lives or business?
- What kinds of results can your customers expect from your offerings?
Assuming your answers were not influenced purely by greed and/or pre-made sales copies provided to you by the product owner, do you focus on how much you and your business contribute to other people’s lives?
As an example, if you’re selling reliable, feature-packed web hosting services, realize that because of your included html editor, your customers can now easily create their own sites without dishing out hundreds of dollars for someone else do it, the speed of your servers enables your customers’ visitors to quickly navigate from page to page, the reliability of your equipment allows your customers to concentrate on building their business without having to worry about their site being lost, and more importantly, not having to worry about losing their customers from down websites.
Thanks to *YOU*, your customers didn’t have to worry about purchasing a backup system because nightly backups are included in their accounts. They didn’t lose any customers to their competitors because your powerful server prevents their sites from ever being inaccessible. And the secure pages and payment processing service included in your control panel allowed them to confidently reassure their visitors that all transactions are safe – reaulting in more sales.
Now, considering all that you do for your clients, would you still look at yourself as *just* a web hosting service?
You’re worth more than you give yourself credit! Change your self worth and you’ll begin to do things differently… and customers will appreciate you more for it too!
