I guess I’m gonna start posting again?

… because Alejandro of successfool.com just told me he “loves my blog” and is “going to bookmark it.” Well, what’s the point of having people bookmark your page if you offer nothing to bring them back. Right?

So FINE… I’m back. lol

Are You Present In Your Life?

Have you ever looked at something that’s been a part of your life for almost forever (furniture, pets, even family), and suddenly find yourself *seeing* it for the very first time? This has been happening to me quite often lately, and it’s creepy weird.

Why does my room look different? Are those my sandals? Is this the same laptop I’ve been working on for the past year? When did I finish designing that website? What happened to my golden highlights and green eyes?!! ( << just kidding! nark! nark! :-D )

If you think I’ve lost my mind, you’re right. But not how you might think…

Dump Your Brain, Accomplish More!

Have you ever felt like your head is cluttered with so much to do, you don’t know how you’ll ever get anything done?

Not knowing how to organize your tasks leads to worry, stress, and discouragement. Maybe you already have a nice list of things to do, but find yourself feeling like no matter how much you’ve accomplished throughout the day, your “to-do” list just keeps on growing…

Every task, action, or project has a place and time. When these items are properly organized, you feel in control. As a result, the time spent on worrying is replaced with effective action. Here’s a sample to-do list to help you accomplish more, while decreasing stress!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Happy Birthday To Me!

No, it’s not my bday… but my son made me this special ’surprise’ treat and proudly presented it to me while singing the happy birthday song.

(Mango yogurt, sharp cheddar cheese, mayo, gummy fruit snacks, and butter… topped with cracker sticks.).

My DSL is Down

Quick note from my friend’s house…

My DSL has been down since yesterday afternoon. We’ve got some crazy rain and thunder/rain storms here. So, if you’ve sent me email since then and haven’t heard back, you know why.

I’ll get back to you (if necessary) as soon as I get my connection back!! Arhhhhhh!!!

I appreciate your patience! Thank you!

Happy Mama’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day to all kickin’ Mommies out there!

Just so you know… I happen to have the BEST mother anyone could ever ask for, and that is why I’m such an AWESOME mom today. [insert "awww!"]

Blogroll Cache - When BlogRolling.com Is Sloooooow

If you use BlogRolling.com to maintain your blogroll as I do, you’ve probably noticed there are times when it takes their site quite a while before responding to the code you’ve inserted into your page… sometimes, stopping your pages to load altogether :(.

Well, I’ve searched high and low and finally found a quick and simple script to cut your page load time - no matter how huge your blogroll is.

Here’s how it works:

  • A cache of your blogroll is created and stored on your server. (From what I understand, the information stored in here is what is published on your page. So, whenever your page loads, it doesn’t have to directly communicate with BlogRolling.com, but pulls the info from this cache.)

  • The script downloads data from the blogrolling.com servers and overwrite the cache with the updated info.
  • If the data downloaded isn’t valid (server down, or sent back an error), the cache is not overwritten, your blogroll will remain unchanged, and your page load does not suffer!

Unless you’re planning to manually load the script every few minutes/hours, you’ll need to be able to run php cron, so check with your web host provider.
